It was one of the first gifts from my husband, early in our dating years.  I love purple, and I love legends and magical ideas.  <3  It remains one of my treasured possessions.

This shipwreck was uncovered at Gooch's Beach in Kennebunk, Maine by the winter's storms.  I had given up and was headed back to the car when I spotted it.

March 15 - Bernese Mountain Dog on Gooch's Beach

This charming pooch greeted me when I arrived at Gooch's Beach to look for the shipwreck I'd heard about.  When I was leaving he was refusing to do the same.  His person was standing by her car, calling him.  He just gave her this look.  I was pulling away when he finally got up and started sauntering over to the stairs. 

March 16 - Another visit to Gooch's Beach in Kennebunk.  I loved the black and yellow labs walking all together.  (black and yellow, black and yellow!  my kids will get that, not sure who else)   I got a couple shots of treat time for the five dogs too.

The Private Beach sign is a point of contention amongst residents and visitors to Gooch's Beach.  How does one determine private property when the property borders a public beach?  How does one walking the beach be sure to read this one little sign to stay out of trouble?  And what, exactly, does 'at the water line' mean?  Do my feet have to be wet??  Is that the seaweed line showing high tide??

March 16 - My dog at Gooch's Beach.  Molly is a German Shepherd.  She's turning four this summer. 

March 17 - Our heat.  We burn corn.  You can see a kernel falling from the chute in the center of the photo.

For these next two I used a fast shutter to further stop the motion of the dancing flames.

Oooh - I'm behind on this little project!  But I've got some treats coming, I promise.  Stay tuned.  For now...

Snow day in March

I wish I could have captured the giggles that resulted from me being knocked down and then run over by the tire swing. 

But, I got the shot - and some snow on the lens.  :-)

These beauties were photographed on March 28, 2008.  There is hope for spring yet.

This adorable little German Shepherd puppy is now a 95 lb. moose.  Who knew the cute little nickname would prove true?
